Our offer will be combined with technical expertise to deliver improved energy efficiency, enhanced equipment life and better performance.
African Group Lubricants is a new entity created to focus solely on the ExxonMobil lubricants business in South Africa including countries where Strategic Global Accounts have operations.
Both parent companies have significant operational experience in the chemicals and fuel industry in Southern Africa and are well set to be successful in the marketing and distribution of ExxonMobil lubricants.

African Group Lubricants Pty Ltd is a new company created after a successful joint bid between West African Group Pty Ltd and Afric Oil Pty Ltd to ExxonMobil with the intention to distribute Caterpillar Branded Lubricants into Caterpillar Distributors in Sub Saharan Africa as well as the Indian Ocean Islands. African Group Lubricants has entities based in South Africa, Botswana, Namibia and Mauritius with warehousing facilities across the SADC region.
The operational team has a wealth of petrochemical experience in excess of 150 years with individuals working for and working with Multinational Oil Companies like Shell, ExxonMobil, Engen, Petronas, BP. Pockets of expertise within the team exist in fields such as Lubricant Sales & Marketing, Lubricant Technical Support, Warehousing, Distribution, Market Research and Business Development.
The decision by ExxonMobil to select a dedicated distributor to focus on Caterpillar Branded Lubricants, creates a unique opportunity to support Barloworld Equipment in implementing and adding value to an end to end solution to your customers.
