Who we are

AGL, as a subsidiary of the enX Group, listed on the JSE have become one of the largest marketers and distributors of lubricants and services in the Southern African Development Community.

African Group Lubricants has significant operational experience in the lubricants, chemicals and fuel industry in Southern Africa. We have been committed to meeting our clients’ needs for more than 20 years. We are the exclusive licensee and distributor for internationally acclaimed oil and lubricating products.

AGL operates out of the biggest inland blending facility called CERA in Boksburg where we warehouse and blend multinational brands. This facility has a state-of-the-art Laboratory and is 3PIM and QP&G compliant with ISO 9001:2015 Quality and ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Certification.

CERA is one of only 11 worldwide facilities that are DPIM and QP&G certified and we are 1 of only 3 INDEPENDENT blending FACILITIES that is not owned by ExxonMobil or any other Oil Major.

AGL achieved a Level 3 Contributor Status against the Revised Codes of Good Practice, as rated by Empowerdex, an accredited Economic Empowerment Rating Agency.

As an Empowering Supplier, our customers are able to claim 110% of their procurement spend on AGL towards their Enterprise and Supplier Development scorecard.

HOW WE DO IT

Our advanced laboratory facility, ISO 9001:2015 certified. The plant work tirelessly to ensure that we consistently meet the highest international standards. We only use Group I, II and III Virgin Base Oils in our manufacturing process. The plant is ISO 14001: 2015 certified in term of environmental management system standards.

The ROSE Foundation

AGL proudly supports The ROSE Foundation. The ROSE Foundation is a national non-profit organization established to promote and encourage the environmentally responsible management of used oils and related waste in South Africa. Funded by the major stakeholders in the lubricants industry, to enable them to meet their environmental and extended producer responsibilities, ROSE proves that sustainable recycling protects the environment and creates widespread employment opportunities.
